What made this project unique was that Topaz operates in the same industry as BPI Color—both companies sell wide-format plotters and office printing equipment. While Topaz serves the Boston market and BPI Color operates elsewhere, this industry overlap could have created hesitation. Instead, it became the project’s greatest advantage.

Recognizing that B2B buyers compare multiple models before committing, we implemented quick-view functionality that displays full specifications, videos, and product details in overlay windows—allowing visitors to evaluate equipment side-by-side without losing their place in the catalog.

We structured product information the way architects and engineers actually evaluate equipment: detailed specifications organized into scannable sections, technical capabilities explained clearly without marketing fluff, and real-world applications that map to their daily workflows. Every page delivers the depth these buyers require in a format that respects their time.
We implemented WooCommerce as a sophisticated product catalog with future e-commerce scalability. Each printer—from entry-level DesignJets to production PageWide systems—includes comprehensive specifications, embedded product videos, and quick-view functionality that lets visitors access detailed information without leaving the browsing page. Product attributes display prominently, giving technical buyers immediate access to the specifications that drive purchasing decisions.
Custom forms integrate PDF spec sheets with form submissions, providing immediate value to prospects while capturing lead information for Topaz’s sales team. Strategic CTAs guide visitors through equipment selection, service requests, and quote requests based on their specific needs.
The custom mega menu functions as an interactive site map, revealing Topaz’s complete product and service portfolio on hover. Users see the full breadth of offerings—from entry-level plotters to production systems, service capabilities to supplies—without clicking through multiple pages, accelerating the path from initial browse to qualified inquiry.
Interactive hover states reveal additional context for each service offering—presenting core information at a glance while expanding to show deeper capabilities on engagement. This progressive disclosure guides visitors toward relevant content based on their demonstrated interest, improving qualified traffic to service and product pages.
