BPI Adds New Silver Ion Technology to Print Process

Hospital Mural W

What is Silver Ion?

To some extent, it is what it sounds like. Silver Ion is a natural mineral. The element of Silver has a widely recognized antimicrobial function. Silver Ions refer to Silver atoms from one or more electrons have been lost and which exist in an iconic state. They have an oxidizing power and are often used in daily life for disinfection and sterilization. How was that for a technical explanation!

How Does BPI incorporate it into the print process?

Well it’s not that simple. Certain types of graphic print jobs, primarily vinyl applications which can include wall graphics, vehicle graphics and floor graphics as an example we can add specialty laminate that has this technology within it. We can supply a number of documents and a study report that can speak to the credibility of the anti-microbial function of the media. If you have interest in learning more about this product please reach out to Mary Venturino.

Why Do It?

It’s a long-term solution to fending off germs. Anti-microbial products kill or slow the spread of microorganisms. Microorganisms include bacteria, viruses, protozoans and fungi such as mold and mildew. You can find many anti-microbial products in your home, workplace or schools.
